I qualified from Liverpool with a BDS in 2000. I immediately carried out one year of vocational training in south Manchester and continued to work in the area for a further two years. During this time I received a Certificate in Conscious sedation from Chorley Hospital. In 2003, I moved to Cambridge and worked as a GDP at Antwerp House Dental Practice. From 2005- 2008, I studied an intensive course on Implantology with Professor Chanavaz and The Oxford Society of Oral Implantology. My studies frequently took me to Lille University to study advanced anatomy and physiology with the postgraduate students there, as well as gaining opportunities to engage in Head and neck dissection on cadavers!
I have thoroughly enjoyed working in general practice for the past 10 years and the opportunities to practice a wide range of skills, acquired throughout my professional life. I love the diversity of working with young inexperienced children and nervous adults through to the complexities of molar root canal therapy, implantology and all aspects of cosmetic makeovers. I truly believe in prescribing and providing holistic care plans appropriate and individualised for each patient .I am an avid believer in continual professional development and carrying out evidence based dentistry and the numerous courses I attend reflects this. I am a member of the faculty of general dental practitioners and will continue to make academia an integral part of how I can provide good quality dentistry to my patients.
