As the lead dentist at Antwerp House
I have several very important roles to play. My principle
role is to make sure that patients are being treated
in an effective and safe manner using gold standard
treatments. I have received extensive post-graduate
training in Prosthodontics and Implantology. As a result
of this much of my work seems to be focused on smile
design cosmetic dentistry and the restoration of mutilated
dentitions.
I have taken an interest in the newer
technologies applicable to general practice. These involve
the use of lasers in dentistry and the use of CAD/CAM
technology in fabricating dental restorations. I therefore
use a hard and soft tissue laser as part of several
dental procedures. I have also been trained in the use
of the CEREC machine. This is a computer which designs
dental restorations and use of this technology is one
of my preferred methods of restoring the mutilated dentition.
I have developed some research interests
in the use of lasers. My work in treating mutilated
dentitions has seen me diversify my treatments. As a
result of such treatment. I have got involved with sedation
procedures minor surgical procedures and a range of
orthodontics, including Invisalign. I also run a headache
clinic and treat many bite related causes of headache,
neckache and shoulder pain.
Due
to my post-graduate interests I lecture to dental practitioners
on the subjects of laser dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics,
and implant dentistry. |
