Dr. Andre Bergh

Andre qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa 1983. He spent 2 years doing his National Service, mostly as a dentist/assistant surgeon. He was fortunate to see a lot of Maxillofacial surgery at Baragwanath Hospital where Andre had been seconded to the department at the university.

Thereafter Andre headed a clinic of 5 dentists in Soweto, with their own theatre facility for children's GA cases.

In February 1988 Andre opened his own practice in Johannesburg, having 2 part-time hygienists and 1 dentist working for him. From 1994 to 1998 he also served as a Dental Adviser to the Davidson & Ewing Group of Medical Aid Schemes, the Status Group of Medical Aids, and on odd occasions was called upon by other private medical aid schemes to act as an adviser in legal matters regarding Dentists.

In November 1998 Andre sold his practice when he moved with his family to the UK. He spent 5 years in Peterborough, then did a 6 week locum in Stamford before joining Antwerp House.

Andres interests are general dentistry with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, he also enjoys minor oral surgery.
