In 2007 I started a journal club amongst local practitioners and this has now been attended by general practitioners both associates and principals, and specialists in orthodontics, prosthodontics and endodontics. It is an extremely enjoyable group with a broad range of experience and knowledge, and has been a fantastic learning vehicle for myself, and all members of the group. The arrangements are as follows, I collect 5-6 papers of interest based on requests within the group and photocopy and arrange distribution to all members. The club then meet to discuss various aspects of the papers supplied. There is no charge for any aspect of the group - all I ask is that you read the papers supplied and come to the group with "tooth and dagger" ready to rip the paper apart and impart your wisdom to the rest of us. |
